The Latest Catch
New styles are inspired by the sea and its creatures.

Oceans cover 73 percent of the planet earth’s surface, so it’s no wonder that the sea, and the creatures that live in it, are such a great source of inspiration for fine jewelry. That influence can particularly be felt this year since designs from the depths continue to be strong through fall and holiday. Whether they are life-like specimens or inspired by sailing and nautical motifs, the latest catch of sea life jewelry combines traditional designs with some exotic textures, precious metal mixes, and materials actually originating in the sea. Longtime favorites such as shells and seahorses continue, but some more exotic creatures such as octopus, urchins, and crabs, add a more whimsical element to this aquatic menagerie.
