The Bronze Age
Watch Trends

Kermit may be happy being green, but more than ever, fine jewelers are finding brown is emerging as the new favorite in gemstones, pearls, and now watches. Using new and existing technologies, such as PVD, watch brands are trying out their version of brown, or in the case of “brown” steel or brown gold, a bronze look. It’s similar to how the now omnipresent black watch trend began—a few directional companies are introducing the new look and others will soon follow. At the Basel and Geneva watch fairs this month, brown is already surfacing as an important option, just as black and white have become basics.
