Got Milk?
Jewelry Trends

Much like the subtlety of white noise, the subtlety of milky white gemstones is increasingly celebrated in directional jewelry collections. These great whites donít have the sparkle of white diamonds, yet their statements are equally strong, particularly when set in fashionable yellow gold. Itís a completely different look from white-in-white jewelry, which designers favored before the presently popular yellow gold movement. Often, pieces have a handcrafted, almost artsy look, for the gems themselves arenít part of the mainstream, most notably cacholong opal, white coral, white moonstone, and white agate. ó Lorraine DePasque
